Shahzaib Electronics Ecommerce Platform
Project Overview
Shahzaib Electronics is a Lahore-based automotive accessories business dealing in products such as Android multimedia panels, car audio systems, car cameras, subwoofers, steering controls, and vehicle upgrade products.
The goal was to build a custom ecommerce platform that could present the catalog professionally, support direct customer orders, and make product management easier for the business team.
The Business Challenge
Automotive ecommerce is more complex than a standard online store. Customers need to browse products by category, compare technical specifications, and choose items that fit their vehicle or upgrade requirement.
Shahzaib Electronics also had a large and growing catalog. The platform needed to support more than 230 products while keeping the buying journey simple for customers and the management process practical for the admin team.
The client also needed a checkout approach that matched local buying behavior. Many customers in Pakistan prefer to confirm order details through WhatsApp before completing a purchase, so the platform needed to support a WhatsApp-led ordering flow instead of depending only on traditional card checkout.
Custom Ecommerce Storefront
Deep Dev Solutions built a custom storefront using Next.js 14, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and Shadcn UI. The frontend was designed to feel modern, clean, and easy to use while keeping the product catalog accessible across desktop and mobile screens.
The products page includes category filters, search, sorting, product cards, product images, and a clean catalog structure. This helps customers move from browsing to product discovery without needing to contact the business for every basic question.
Product Catalog and Inventory Management
The platform uses PostgreSQL, Supabase, and Prisma ORM to manage product data, categories, product images, stock information, pricing, and order-related records.
This structure gives the business a more reliable way to manage its automotive accessories catalog compared with scattered manual updates or disconnected tools.
The current catalog includes more than 230 products, giving Shahzaib Electronics a scalable foundation for future product expansion.
WhatsApp-Led Checkout Flow
The checkout flow was designed around how many local customers prefer to buy. Instead of forcing every customer through a complex payment gateway, the system supports a WhatsApp-led order journey.
Customers can browse products, add items to their cart, and move toward an order flow that helps the sales team continue the conversation through WhatsApp. This keeps the buying process familiar for customers while giving the business a cleaner digital order path.
This was not built as a full WhatsApp Business API integration. It was intentionally designed as a practical WhatsApp-led checkout flow suitable for the client’s current sales process.
Admin System and Operational Control
Beyond the customer-facing store, the project also required internal management features. The admin side allows the business to manage products, categories, images, pricing, stock visibility, and other product information from one place.
This gives the business more control over daily ecommerce operations and reduces the need to depend on developers for every small product or catalog update.
Performance Optimization
During testing, heavy analytics and database operations created performance bottlenecks. The platform was optimized by moving database traffic through Supabase Transaction Pooler/PgBouncer and improving expensive Prisma queries.
After connection pooling and query optimization, one major analytics query improved from 6.6 seconds to 50 milliseconds.
This improvement helped make the admin experience faster and reduced the risk of database connection issues under heavier usage.
Caching and Fresh Product Data
The platform was designed with caching in mind so the public storefront can stay fast while still allowing product information, stock, and pricing to be updated when needed.
Cache-aware architecture helps protect the database from unnecessary repeated requests while keeping the customer experience smooth.
Image and Media Management
Cloudinary was used for product media management, helping the platform handle product images in a cleaner and more scalable way.
This supports a product-heavy ecommerce experience where image quality and organized media handling are important for customer trust.
SEO-Ready Product Foundation
Although advanced SEO and AEO work was planned for a later phase, the platform was built with a clean product structure, readable content areas, and technical foundations that can support future search optimization.
This means Shahzaib Electronics can later improve product pages, category pages, metadata, structured data, and content depth without rebuilding the core ecommerce system.
The Result
The final platform gives Shahzaib Electronics a custom ecommerce system for showcasing and managing its automotive accessories catalog.
The business now has a faster, cleaner, and more scalable digital foundation with product browsing, search, category filtering, cart flow, WhatsApp-led ordering, admin-side product management, and performance improvements.
Most importantly, the platform supports the company’s move toward direct customer orders while keeping the workflow practical for the way the business already sells.
